Hello guys

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here.

My server has run without any problems for a couple of months, but yesterday after a reboot i could not get my desktop, server never got past the black screen before login and no mouse cursor was present, just a black screen.

I tried using the built in repair functions in win7 only to completely ruin the install..

I then re-installed windows, and server seemingly boots fine, however, the pc will completely freeze and a hard reset is needed to get it back up again.

I dont know what triggers the freeze but it did happen both times flexraid is run.

Only thing i have changed is, i exchanged two bad WD20EARS drives for 2 new WD 3TB reds, i already had 4 of these drives and they work flawlessly.

All hardware more or less are brand new and have worked without a hickup for about 6 weeks,so why did it crap out now?

Any ideas on how i can see what is the cause of the freeze?

thank you

If this is RAID then WIn7 doesn't much like RAID. Since before it was released we've seen nothing but RAID problems here. RAID also confers no advantages and in most cases isn't even redundant. So I'd reconsider RAID.

Otherwise work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7

It is NOT hardware raid. It is JBOD with a software raid on top,and it has worked fine.

My controllers are flashed to regular SATA mode
