I have just bought a Belkin router model no (F5D8235-4 v2000).
Under access control I have added my daughters machine to the list, clicked on edit and typed in a keyword under url keyword list, the restriction by default is set to deny all, if its left like this her internet connection is blocked, allow all is then selected but its not blocking anything!
Also url blocking is not making much sense, I tried to copy and paste a url into the list to be blocked and i'm getting an error message telling me to type in valid characters!!
What am I doing wrong?

To be honest I'm not sure as I don't use Belkin. Would Parental Controls be of any help:
Explore the features: Parental controls

^Applies to Windows 7 too.

You can also turn parental controls on and off; block or allow specific programs, games, and websites; and set controls for every aspect of your child's computer use.

Going to have a look at that now and that might do the trick, thanks for the quick reply , I would still like to be able to do it via the router.

To be honest there are another couple of issues with it, I presume I'm in the right area?

Looks like you have the N+ model?
I've got the N model at home, settings should be similar I can imagine.
Will have a look when I get home.
