Solved Blue screen crash during windows loading

I've got an annoying problem with my gaming pc.

It starts up just fine until i see the glowing windows sign and then suddenly it bluescreens. I haven't managed to catch the error code, since it always flashes and reboots instantly before i could read it.
It ran fine the day before, i only installed a new game, DC Universe Online.
Something worth mentioning is that the PC wasn't used for 14 days as i was on holiday and not at home.

*EDIT*
When i select the Repair option above the 'Start windows normally' when i reboot, all it does is load and lock up at the blue background, i can move around my cursor, but nothing appears on the screen

Any ideas, tips or something i can do? :sarc:

System specs are:
Intel i7-2600k (LGA1155) Quad core
Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 1536mb gddr5
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard.
Windows 7 Home Premium

Well i would, but i can't get in Windows.

Trying to start up normally causes the same crash and the repair options turned out to be useless until now.

Systemreset or restore. (Not sure about english name, dutch windows install...) says i don't have any restorepoints to reset it to, although it automaticaly makes one every update? Also, it says my install is on D: Drive, but all my files are installed on my C: Drive. Infact, the D is not a drive but a DVD/CDROM reader. Is it possible the hard drive is broken? The shop i bought the pc from has had some Hard Drive problems themselves, so thats my first assumption.

For the posting, i can't, since i'm making this reply on my laptop.

Should i try using the windows install disk? If im right, that should not work if my hard drive is broken? :sarc:

Like i said. Try getting into safe mode by pressing F8 at start up.

Ok, so i tried safe mode, but they resulted in the same crashes. (All 3 options)
So i still don't have that file.
But while i was in the menu, i disabled the restart after crash and let it start up, and i got hold of the error code on the following crash:

0x000000ED with message:

UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME

I did some looking around on the 0x000000ED error and it's causes on the support site of Microsoft.

According to them it could be either:
-Error in the BIOS
-Corrupt or damaged file boot (Corrupted windows i think?)
-A cable that needs replacing.
It's either those or my hard drive is done for.

I know the BIOS interface and ive done a reinstall of windows before and the cable can be replaced with warranty at the store. But before i do anything id like to hear what you think of it, and what is the best option to do first? :sarc:

My best guess it a virus came along with DCUO (last installed software) and corrupted my windows files.

Well, a reinstall fixed everything, guessing it was a boot virus.

Solved then
