Hey, ran the prime95 and it passed 8k up to 32k on worker 1 and 2 then it went through them again and passed. It was running for about 6 hours then i stopped it. Also starting up my laptop feels alot faster today.

It is believable that the Norton removal did speed things up; Norton is a large program and has been known to put a performance hit on systems it is installed on.

I'm curious as to the results of the Prime95 test, though. Could you try running all 3 tests again, and reporting the results for each one?

What do you mean? all 3? I ran worker 1 and worker 2 from following the instructions on the link you sent me. Then it went through 8k, 10k, 12k, 14k, 16k, 18k, 20k, 24k, 28k, 32k and passed on all on both worker 1 and worker 2. Then it went back to 8k and passed at 32k again then i stopped it. How would i post results etc?

Start the "Small FFTs" test, and then run it for 2 hours, or until one of the workers stop.

When that is done, run the "Large FFTs" test, and see if the workers stop before 2 hours are up.

Finally, run the "Blend" test, same thing.

Well here's where I'm coming from:

The 101 bugcheck is a CPU hang; often caused by a CPU problem, sometimes because of an unstable overclock.

You ran Prime95, a CPU and RAM stress test. It failed the first time you ran it, which indicates a hardware problem. Prime95 is not known to give "false positives"; if it fails, it typically means the hardware is bad.

Why it didn't fail the next time you ran it, I don't know. Perhaps the whole problem is being caused by a power issue, such as a bad PSU or an overloaded or "noisy" circuit.

It didn't fail the first time, i was just too inpatient and thought it stopped when it never. It was still running haha.

Everything was fine i think.. It passed everything i put it through.

Well see if you get more BSODs; if so, run the tests again.

I will, i'll wait until i get any more BSOD's before posting an update or PM'in you. If i dont get any in the next 1 week i think it might of done the job. Anyway i'm going to bed. Thanks for the info
