Hi,

I'm not sure what's happened, but probably I've got some virus (maybe a trojan)
I was working on the computer and in one moment my NOD32 gave me messages that something tries to install on the computer but antivirus cleaned it up because probably it was a virus. I was so busy that I didn't put big attention to this alert, and I was planning to check this later.
In one moment, my computer restarted by itself and when come back to Windows in few seconds after login in Windows shut off, and BSOD appeared:

Now, it happens every time, and I cannot login to Windows.
P.S.
This is my brother's computer, and really I have to fix this problem as fast as possible.
Thanks in advance for any help !!!!

Stop 0xF4.

This BSOD is mainly storage related. It may be physical components like damaged HDD/SSD, outdated SSD firmware, Loose connected SATA/Power cables, failing SATA port on the motherboard and even a loose screw attaching the HDD.

It involves some software components too, like failing storage controller driver, back-up or defragging software, a malware blocking ataport.sys or even the storage filter driver of the antivirus program.

You check for the hardware components.
Do some Disc checks.

  1. Update your SSD's Firmware
  2. Reseat the sata and power. Change the SATA cables, alter the motherboard ports.
    72974453_zps85c47d93.jpg
  3. Make it sure that all the screws are tightly screwed.
  4. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
  5. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
Anyway, can you boot into safe mode? If so, scan the computer with TDSSKiller, too.
If all are good, then go for a clean install.

Hi,

Thanks so much for your help. This Windows Defender Offline helped me a little bit, but it showed some files which I supposed to put my attention. I deleted one file, which always was something wrong about it. Later, your second advice about cable and connections help too.
Thanks again !!!! :D

Hi,
Unfortunately, I'm back. Everything was looking good but after restart I was not capable of getting back to the Windows. I tried to use Norton Ghost Rescue Disk to be able to restore from backup which I created but after when I've got a black screen with windows is loading files... it gets freeze and that's all. Before reboot was going well to the moment when I've got in the middle of black screen Windows Color Logo (logo looks that is"alive" it means some kind moving), and nothing is happening after this. It freezes
I tried to use Windows Defender Offline disk, but I just get logo and it was looking on the beginning like it freeze but after few minutes, I got the message:

Your PC needs to restart

0x00008000
0x0000000B

What can I do to solve this problem?

0x0000005C means HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILE (HAL = Hardware Abstraction Layer.

A 0x5C BSOD followed by a lot of 0xF4 BSODs is enough to indicate a failing HDD wherefrom the MBR not being possible to read.

Have you performed the seatools test suggested earlier? If not, do it.

Also, follow it: (the later steps than the virus scan)
Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start

Let us know the results.

Hi,
I used SeaTools | Seagate and. I did everything like you said and Every is ok.
I tried to use Kaspersky Rescue Disk but it doesn't go in. I tried BitDefender Rescue Disk, after getting Welcome screen of BDRD it stop, and get freeze. The same story with F-Secure Rescue Bootable CD. When I tried to use Norton Ghost Disk to restore my backup i've got Windows is loading files... and it stuck
I couldn't use
TDSSKiller because I can't get into the Windows.:banghead:

Hi zungul, you're in good hands with Arc, but I have a few questions if you don't mind.
Can you please provide more information about the machine's hardware?
Try and be as specific as you possibly can, among other things the age of the components
if some were recently added do you have a vague suspicion or an idea as to what might be causing
this situation please share even if you think it's irrelevant. The peripherals attached if you have more than one stick of RAM things of that nature will help us provide better suggestions.

Which of tests did you run when using Seatools?
Did you try swapping SATA ports and SATA cables? (you can use the one from your ODD, optical disk drive, if you don't have a spare one laying around).
Please list what have you tried so far and how.
