Can you download it to a different location on the disk, then run it from within Windows Explorer by right-clicking on it and choosing 'Run as Administrator'.

I uninstalled Avast and installed Microsft Security ESsential successfully. Is Avast better than MSE?

MSE never BSOD's, whereas Avast does on some systems. Once your system is stable, you can try different antivirus products if you like.

Personally, I use MSE and Malwarebytes. Asking which AV is better, opens a can of worms as everyone has their own opinions, and it becomes like a religious debate. use what works best for you.

okay sounds good I have malwarebytes paid version as well. I've been using it for 2 years. Plus I also paid for super antisypware.
