blue screen when installing windows 7 64 bit

Hi, im typing from my desktop rn

so i tried to install windows 7 home premium (legit copy) bc i replaced my hard drive on my notebook. but when it is completing the installation, i get a blue screen and have to start over. i recently bought the wd black 2 dual drive. i meet system reqs.

if anyone can help id really appreciate it.

Do you have UEFI BIOS? If so are you booting the installation media as a UEFI device? Flash stick requires special formatting from Option one of UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

How does that Dual Drive show up at drive selection screen? Can you take a camera snap and attach it in your reply using paper clip icon?

Did you choose SSD for install?

I'm sorry you're facing difficulty installing your OS on your new drive!

Just to mention, UEFI BIOS isn't obligatory here and there wouldn't be any need of selecting the SSD part for the OS install destination, as the HDD part is locked until after OS install, to be later partitioned and formatted. So in any case, the OS installation would occur on the SSD.

@yunghans, did you proceed with the fresh install as in this official guide, page 3?

The Blue screen you received, it must have had a code or error, did you see what it was? If your system is restarting automatically a second after the BSOD and you can't quite see the error, do the following to disable the automatic restart after a BSOD screen:

1. Restart the system and right before Starting Windows screen should appear, press F8 to enter Advanced Boot Options (it depends, with you it could be another button)
2. Highlight Disable automatic restart on system failure and press Enter

Now, if you have a BSOD, the system won't restart and you'll be able to read the error message and copy it here for us to analyse. There lies the key to the fix of this issue.

Hi, thanks for all the info. Unfortunately, however, the notebook refuses to start the installation process. It tells me that there is a system failure and asks to restart. Afterwards, the same message pops up and its an endless cycle.
