another problem with blue screen i have is tht i leave my pc overnite 2 dload some games and then the next mornin ill wake up itll b on blue screen error condition... is tht an actuall threat my pc is defendin itself from coz of sum1 tryina attack me thru the dloads??

It's probably not a threat. Some hardware or software is acting up, probably hardware.

If you got an infection, your anti-virus would probably pick it up, and wouldn't shut down the machine.

What version is your current BIOS? BTW, a BIOS update is not to be feared. It needs to be done, and if you follow the directions, nothing bad will happen.

Let us know when you get sick of the BSODs. :rolleyes:

You can also test your other hardware. Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.
