@Arc: Weird, I downloaded the driver I mentioned above, but like I said, it kinda feels like nothing changed from before. It's like the driver doesn't do anything. I still could connect to the internet despit having no driver (you said I probably didn't delete the old one correctly) and that still concerns me.

@crankypenguin: I did everything in the tutorial. What has changed? How to I completely uninstall the driver?

This sounds like a tough nut to crack. Ok I googled your device, it is a USB type wifi connection to a router yes? Basically what we want to do is completely delete the driver that is installed for this device on your computer, and install the newest one from that page that was linked a few posts back. So now, you say you are unable to delete this program via the normal route (add/remove) programs, is this correct? If you happen to have CCleaner, that has a program removal tool also, you can try that to remove the drivers. CCleaner is free of charge. I will continue to think what else can be done. By the way, I also had tp-link devices in the past, nothing but trouble. Can you show us a screenshot of your *Device Manager* from your control panel, and open the networking part, like I did in my screenshot, also your Universal Serial Bus Controllers

There is a TP-Link under "add/remove programs" but it's the one I've downloaded yesterday (the "new" one), but according to the Bluescreen, it didn't get updated.

I have CCleaner, but it doesn't show anything differently from the standard "add/remove".

Here's a pic of my device manager (there was no option to "run as administrator"):

It's in German (hope it's not too much of a problem), no triangles.

If you want to uninstall the old TP link Drivers and install the new one afresh, do the following:

   Warning

Before doing this, download the recent version of network driver, and also make it sure that you have the older version (working now) saved.

Right click TP Link adapter and uninstall it.

Next, install the new driver. As a reference, see it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/97061-driver-install-device-manager.html

Hopefully it will install the new driver rightly, provided you downloaded the one matching your device number properly.

Have I done something wrong? I uninstalled the driver from the device Manager but when I want to install the New one, an error appears.

An error (-5006: 0x80070002) has occurred while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.

Can neither install the new driver nor remove the old one (including CCleaner).

Found some more reading on your current error Error code 0x8100002F and or error code 0x80070002 when you back up files in Windows 7

It points to bad input / output via USB. Have you considered that your tplink might be broken? Could you try it on another computer with a driver install?

Still have a connection (just had to insert the USB adapter again), but removing/installing anything related to TP Link is still impossible.

Yea, I think it's either the driver not being updated or my adapter not working correctly, I guess.

So, I actually could delete it with Revo Uninstaller Pro, but the error is still there (can't install).
