Boot logo(??) like vista

hi when i turn on my laptop and it boots up it has the vista boot screen instead of the windows 7 one

This is probably not as likely to be your problem, but I'm just throwing it out there. If your screen's resolution is below 1024x768 (like on most netbooks), the Windows 7 boot-up screen defaults to the Vista one.

hey mate if it is true about the screen resolution then i think you are right because i have an acer aspire one and the resolution is 1024x600 i think

I've never seen resolution that poor in Win7. Is this a netbook thing?
 
Yes....my netbook boots up Vista style. I was always led to believe it was due to the small screen size, the resolution for the Windows 7 boot screen cannot be achieved.

Netbook screens are quite small, so for many of them, 1024x600 is the max resolution possible, and it would explain the Vista boot screen which requires 1024x768.
