Solved Boot manager is corrupt

Hi,
Ive been using a small notebook with Windows 7 installed for a while now with no issues.
Today i switched it on to see a black screen with the message,,
BOOTMGR IMAGE IS CORRUPT. THE SYSTEM IS UNABLE TO START.

Alt Ctrl Delete did nothing so i had to pop out the battery.
Put battery back on & started fine.

Should i now be looking for a check / fix for the solution so it doesnt happen again.

Is it a dell by chance this often happens when the disk is slow to spinup and cant be found a soft boot fixes it as its had time to spin by then

As you had to do a hard shutdown, I suggest you do a check disk.
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = yes
Restart
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc

Run as admin.
Typed yes.
Advised scam would take place on next restart.
Restarted and it then scanned and results shown as above.
Once completed it restarted itself.
