Well, Im new here, but I will inform you guys best I can.

It all started when I realized I downloaded the 32 bit operating system on my desktop. Now however, I got a BSOD when I inserted the CD into the desktop. People around the internet said that you must go ahead and format the drive, So, I went ahead and did that. Thus deleting the operating system in the process. Now, When I try downloading the operating system, I get this message:

Boot MGR is missing. Please restart the computer.

I have tried everything. Using my laptop to make a USB Drive to boot it up. I cannot do that because my laptop is a 32 bit operating system, and I want a 64 bit.

Please, I really do need help. The motherboard is a M5A 78L-M LX Plus with an AMD chipset. The monitors work fine and everything works until the boot MGR Pops up. I am puzzled because while working on computers in school, this only popped up when the operating system was on the harddrive. However, I cannot do anything at all.

Please, Help would be appreciated. Also, if you guys could give me a link to windows 7 Professional 64 bit download, that would be appreciated. I have both the 64 bit and 32 bit serial key.

Much appreciated.

-A puzzled computer person.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,

You can download the required Windows 7 installation ISO from this location:

Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life

Use this tool to make a bootable USB (must be 4GB in size) with that ISO:

Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3 | USB Pen Drive Linux

Ensure that the PC can boot from a USB drive by checking that in the BIOS settings. Insert the USB, turn on the computer, and it will boot from the USB drive. Now install Windows 7 as normal.

Regards,
Golden
