I have downloaded "pwfree91-x86.iso" from MiniTools.
Also downloaded Portable ImgBurn

My first experience with ISO files :o

New DVD+R into DVD tray
Open ImgBurn
Write Image file to disc (incl verify)
selected ISO file as source
output to default DVD tray

At the end a message that it failed

ImgBurn log.png

What am I doing wrong ? Am I missing a step somewhere ? (eg, pre formatting the disc ?)
- I am starting a coaster collection with the failures

I have already used "FreeISOBurner" -- no alerts but when I tried to boot the DVD from BIOS; Windows continued to boot.
- so I assume the "FreeISOBurner" was a failure

Would appreciate some help, thank you :)

If you right click on the file, do you get an option to "burn disc image"?
I usually use Windows to make discs from an ISO file.

I didn't think to try Context menu, because my ImgBurn is portable, nor did I know that I can burn a bootable DVD with Windows Disc Image Burner.

Do I have to format the DVD+R disc before burning?

Looks like ImgBurn portable has mounted itself onto the Context Menu, I thought I would have to do it manually.

What would you suggest?

I just insert the disc, right click the ISO and choose burn disc image. Haven't run into any issues using the built in image burner.

This is what I see when I right click an ISO.

Using DDG search found Verify Failed! - Reason: Layouts do not match

This laptop is a 2009 Toshiba -- in that time I would have used the drive <20 times.

LATER:
Problem is the laptop DVD drive, it plays discs OK but its burning days are over.

Got a perfect result burning on one of my rigs
