Booting problem

Hello, I have a problem booting windows.
When I turn on my PC its all fine and dandy but when it needs to boot windows it just restarts again.
I've had this problem once before and what I did was take out the ram and disconnect the HDD (and put them back again) and then when I booted it up I just did a system restore but that's not the case now.
If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Here is when it started doing this:
I was working on the PC and distracted myself with TV and it went into sleep mode (it does that if I leave it for 10 minutes because I didn't wanna be bothered disabling sleep mode) and then I moved the mouse for it to turn on and when it did I usually continue working but this time because I was sleepy accidentally restarted it with the little restart button and then it started not booting.
I should also point out that that was the case for the problem last time as well but last time I restarted it because for some reason the keyboard wasn't working .

Set your sleep for 30 minutes which is default.

The problem is I can't even access windows and my bios has a password and I don't want to mess with delicate electronics to remove it. And I should mention that its actually the HDD not booting.

Why does your BIOS have a password? This is something almost no one does except business. But if you set one then it should be easy to provide it now so you can boot the disks necessary to repair this. I don't know what you're talking about "delicate electronics?" You do want to repair it, correct? You are at the top tech forums in web history where we handled these cases by the thousands. You can also try tapping the F8 key to access http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html to run Startup Repair and System Restore back as far as necessary. But if the OS is infected it may not repair without being disinfected first.

Hi just for the record your not referring to sleep mode your referring to hybrid sleep or hibernation which does require using the power button to wake,
Most people do disable that feature and use regular sleep which any key or mouse movement will wake the machine,

I would like to say first off that I would have no reason for setting a password on my bios but I did once take it to a service to replace the power supply and i think they said they put a password on it and if I needed I should call them, but the problem is the service is gone now.
But I have heard something about resetting my bios password by doing something with some jumpers (by which I meant "delicate electronics", because a friend fried his PC from tinkering with it) to reset the password.
So now I will reset the password on my bios and try to fix it.

You'll need to have a story better than that one to get us to help you break the BIOS password.

Sometimes manufacturer's Tech Support will help you if you prove ownership.

There is no reason to disable Hibernation which is a great Win7 feature that works perfectly, allowing one to walk away from the PC and not need to come back to shut it down because after a timeout period (I suggest one hour) it saves everything to the hard drive and powers down. Then it starts up twice as fast putting everything back on the desktop so you can Resume what you're doing.

If you walk away from a sleeping computer for a week then it is maintaining power to your RAM for that whole time, wearing it down. Hibernate takes care of this by shutting it down after saving RAM contents to the HD.

Hybrid sleep keeps copying RAM to the HD on a sleeping PC so in case of a power cut you're work is not lost.

Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure​

Prevents Windows 7 from automatically restarting if an error causes Windows 7 to fail. Choose this option only if Windows 7 is stuck in a loop where Windows 7 fails, attempts to restart, and fails again repeatedly.

Now post what error you get on boot.

Sorry if you don't understand me but I can't even boot up that screen, my HDD is not even booting.
The only menu i get when pressing f8 is the one to choose what to boot from.

It sounds like skater47 is stuck in a BIOS loop to me. If it keeps restarting over and over on its own, you don't need to use a jumper. You just need to open your BIOS and open/close a switch in the BIOS Settings. Give us the name of your BIOS and it version numbers and maybe someone can give you instructions. If you can go on line the Bios Supplier can help you too.

So why do you reply that we don't understand you can't boot into Win7. We wouldn't suggest steps for http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219533-troubleshooting-windows-7-failure-boot.html if you could boot into Win7.

You should always be able to boot a disk even if the OS won't boot or the HD is bad or disconnected. Failure to be able to boot a disk is almost always a user failure.
