Hi guys, just intalled Win 7 after having it some time and I love it. I usually clean out my "sample pictures, music and videos" up after installation. This may or may not have something to do with my minor annoyance. If I go to my user profile and I wish to change my picture, the "browse for more pictures..." link does nothing when I click to it. I dont know if it's trying to reference that folder. I put a new folder and named it sample pictures in C:Users/public/public pictures but still no dice. Any idea how to replace them? fix windows or find them on the DVD and place them back in their appropriate place? I should probably familiarize myself a little more with the OS before I start deleting folders and what not..
Anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards.
Rxloren

Hello Loren, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may help.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

When I browse for more pictures it defaults to the pictures library. I also removed the public folders and sample files. Thats not a problem. You can add images to the path I mentioned above. Images should be in BMP format with a resolution of 128x128.

Not exactly, They can be .PNG or even .JPG Of less/equal or greater sizes (Just on the select picture screen, the thumbnail WILL NOT SHOW UP unless it's a .BMP and 128x128. However, If You click the inviso-thumbnails It Will set the pic that's associated with that inviso-thumbnail as your profile pic no problem... (hehe silly Microsoft, yet another eansy weensy bug splatter on the Windows 7 WindShield...But with good reason.)

"THANK YOU , THANK YOU, With the link You provided {"C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures"} Instead of worrying about trying to get the applet to work so that "BROWSE FOR MORE PICTURES..." Would work again, I simply copied the pictures that i wanted to the destination You provided and applied the one I most wanted as my account image, Imagine that! Thanks for enlightening me on doing that, i was so focused on finding a fix, that I did not even think of the simple solution to the issue!

P.S. is this not an easier fix than restoring back re-imaging or looking for a fix? I think so, BTW this is not the first time Browse for more pictures has stopped working here... Anyway Enjoy Your PC Time...
