Hi All,
I recently upgraded from XP to Win7 and in my old setup I was using IE8 and I had IE7Pro running on it and I had spell checking that worked just like it does in Firefox ie...when you misspell a word it underlined it and then you could Right Click the word and pick from some suggestions! Well since I loaded Win7 with IE8 and IE7pro I get a different looking solid red underline instead of the squiggly looking one I am used to, and now it just underlines the word and when right clicked it does not give any suggestions at all...you have to manually make the correction and guess at the correct spelling! Does the IE7 pro spell check not work right anymore, or did I have another spell checker add-on loaded that I forgot about? If so does anyone know what it was? I tried the Google Toolbar add-on spellchecker and you have to hit the button whenever you want to spell-check, it does not do it "On the fly" like I am used to.
Thanks In advance,
Mike

Thanks for the suggestions, as I said in my post I have tried the Google Toolbar one and it works fine but you have to activate it when you are ready to spellcheck, which is not a huge deal....it is just not as convenient as the one that used to spellcheck as you typed....and it sounds as if the iespell is the same way as Google's app....I will probably just start using firefox...as I hear it is a better browser anyway....it is just a bit different then IE so I will have to get used to using it, as I have always just used IE.
Thanks again for the responses,
Mike

It won't take long getting used to Firefox. If you begin to like it, you'll be hooked. I still use it in Win XP. I still have and run versions going back to 1.0 and before. My favorite is 1.5 which is still set as my default browser. In Win 7, I don't use Firefox. I'm really liking IE8 and how well it works in Win 7. Anyone have screenshots of this IESpell thingy? Does it drag down performance of IE8 any?

One of the nice things about FF is that is has many spellcheck flavours for many countries.

British English one for me :)

Yes I am really liking IE8 also....so I might try iespell or Google's Spellcheck for a while and see if they will suffice!
Thanks,
Mike
