BSOD 00x50 vipre anti-virus conflicting with new anti-virus

I did a bonehead move of installing PC tools anti-virus before uninstalling vipre on my wife who's out of town. The kids infected it playing flash games. long story short, Her Gateway (win7 home premium) is on a a start-up loop. All I can get to work with a recovery disk is get into the DOS prompt by the shift+F10 at the recovery screen. Is there any way I can fix this with regedit or in a DOS prompt?

Can you boot into safe mode? press f8 while the PC is booting up, select safe mode and see if you can uninstall that software.

all safe modes bring me to the startup repair which tries really hard but, eventually gives up and crashes with before report! No it will be my backside for not watching them close enough....

Download Windows Defender Offline (about 785 kB)
You will have the choice of downloading the 32bit version (x86) or the 64 bit version (x64).
The link will help you determine whether you are running a 32 bit version or 64 bit version of Windows

NOTE!! You can download and prepare a 32 bit version using a 64 bit version of Windows

You run the 32 bit version on a 32 bit version of Windows.

· the update will download less than 65 mB.

Since the malware database is sometimes updated several times in a day, always update before running.

PERFORM AN OFFLINE SCAN
Bootup your computer from the USB stick
Windows Defender Offline will automatically perform a quick scan.
After the quick scan finishes, Choose Full Scan
Select all of your drives

The initial, full scan can easily take several hours, but

If fails,try running http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html , for three separate times with restarts after every single run.

It fails long before anything that needs the windows shell to operate can open. Restore, recovery, re*** will not work until I can get win7 to load inorder for that to happen I need resolve the conflict between 2 anti-virus removal tools that are fighting to see which will protect my wife's computer...and in the end right now they are winning...lol!! My point is both Vipre and PC Tools both scanned and claimed the computer was safe...then the conflicts began. The only reason I dwnloaded PC Tools was to get a second opinion due to our subscription with Vipre being about 6 months expired. My 9yr old told me a screen popped up will she was playing, she said she didn't read it well but it said something about anti-virus and she said she clicked on the ignore then ok....because any other pop-up(windows update notifications) thats what she has been told to do! After a few hours of research I fond the pop-up she spoke of. and the box she ignored was the warning that PC Tools had detected a conflict with Vipre and it asks wether you want to fix the conflict, ignore the conflict, or disable PC Tools. Anyone with any understanding of what I just said will come to the same conclusion. She told it to "ignore the conflict" so now it's fighting and we need to find a way to stop one so the other doesn't have a conflict. I've been awake for more then 24hrs trying to figure this out so if I'm sounding slightly impatient or sarcastic please forgive, it's not aimed at any of you!!

Forget all of that other junk.

After the procedure I gave has cleaned up your computer, then and only then can we proceed.

And we will proceed, one step at a time, using sure and tried tools and methods and incidentally, PCTools is NOT one of them.

Ok...so after a nap and some rereading of the instructions I installed the loader and unpackaged the Windows Defender Offline(lastnight I placed the loader onto the thumbdrive then swore when it didn't load...lol) so after the first full scan it found 7 trojans and 1 other invassive program. cleaned them and am in the proccess of pass 2 after a reboot.

on a side note the PC Tools was a wishfull thinking on my part....but was pre-BSOD...and now I'm realizing just how big of a mistake it was...on a possitive note through my mistakes I'm learning what I should have done!!

I can now start-up...

After running Windows Defender Offline once in full scan, the Malware was gone as verified by the second full run. After this I still couldn't get it to boot in normal start up or any safe mode. I decided to recheck the bios settings, my d2d startup along with 4 other settings were not as I set them before running the sequence of differant attempts in trying to get windows to bootup. After running WinDefender Offline and resetting my bios properly I'm into Windows normal mode. Now I've uninstalled some of the programs the kids installed. Updated and ran WinDefender Offline and it still says It's clean! Any suggestions on a Free to Low-budget on a realtime security/anti-virus program?

Install the very best you can get, namely, Microsoft Security Essentials, MSE. Link to MSE in my signature.

MSE is the only AV that I use, that I recommend, that I install.
