BSOD - 0x0000001e

What I meant was; When you start up the program, before initiating the test, you have an option of how many threads to run the test with.

How many would it be suggested to run it with?
I tried running it with 8, which resulted in a crash a couple of hours in. (Although with bugcheck 0x124 instead)

I suppose this might be credited to the OC I'm currently running.

The crashes while gaming and being idle, however, are not explainable based on that though. When I ran the tests, the temps went almost 30 degrees celsius above anything I see when gaming, and almost double of the idle temps.
Idle temps are around 40, gaming anywhere from 50-55 and the tests peaked around 80.

I should probably return to default clock-speeds to see if that is the cause, but it has been running stable for a very long time before starting this BSoD'ing, so I doubt it's related.

Yes, you must return it to default clock speeds. The basic rule of overclocking is make sure the system stable after the adjustment.

I'll try running a test with 6 threads, this shouldn't get temps as high, and I suppose hardware-check-wise it'll be identical?

Nope, you can adjust to use 6 threads in the test but while multitasking or gaming you couldn't control which CPU thread will handle the operation.
So it's better to test all threads.

As I was saying, it has never been an issue before testing with Prime95.

I have never had any issues relating to it in the past, so I doubt it will be in the future? (for normal use that is)

Prime95, as mentioned with 8 threads put it to a lot higher temps than I've previously seen during normal use. Running it with 6 threads decreased the temperature.
Wouldn't it be sane to assume that the temps were from the load, and not some kind of hardware error.

Your CPU= intel core i7 920 --> Its design to be able to handle 8 threads that's why prime95 suggest you to test all the threads (8 threads)

In other hand my CPU AMD X2 7750 --> just have 2 threads so the default when I tried prime95 test is 2 threads. I was able to test all my threads without problem.

So if with all threads make your system overheating then it could be the effect of your overclocking.
