cpuz136_x64.sys is a driver from CPUID CPU-Z. As it is being shown as a possible cause, you uninstall CPU-z, at least as a test. Earlier in the similar issues I have noticed that uninstalling CPU-z is not enough, you may need to delete the driver manually from C:\Windows\System32\drivers and\or C:\Windows\SysWoW64\drivers.

The display driver is not the latest version here. Apply the latest version (latest WHQL) of nVidia display driver.
You may download it directly, from our forum link http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/602-latest-nvidia-forceware-video-drivers-windows-7-a.html; or you may opt for the Option 2 of Drivers- Download NVIDIA Drivers for “Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products” (it requires java installed).

A lot of hal.dll errors are found in the stack. It is Windows Hardware Abstraction Layer. In such a situation it is better to do some hardware tests to check if they are performing properly or not.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Stress test the CPU.

You have a lot of startup entries. Not a single program is needed to be auto started with windows, but the startup programs may often cause conflicts. Free up the startup. You can call a program anytime from Start > All programs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Uninstall the bloatware:
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE\DMIView
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE\UpdManager
I am against this program, too.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Glary Utilities
In windows 7, such a program never doesa good job, but they may mess up the registries etc, and can cause a damage beyond repair. Better you uninstall it.

Also scan the system for possible virus infection.

Let us know the results.

Thanks for the reply!

Alright, so I updated the driver (thought I had the latest one, looks like I was off). Disabled everything in msconfig-startup (minus Security Essentials) and was able to get rid of CPUID and it's driver (it was removed w/ the uninstaller).

So far: Played a few games of LoL, no graphic crashes. Also played World of Warplanes, about 5 games of that and no BSOD from that. Not gonna claim it's resolved yet BUT so far so good. I usually get a graphics crash in LoL once during the game, usually after I load into a game. None of that.

I'll make sure to post in the next couple of days if nothing happens. If something does, I'll be back.

Thanks again

Yes, apparently good :) . But you need to pay some more time in observing it.
