I've had my PC for two years, and had one issue with BSODs before, but that was related to an issue with my RAM clock rate. Now my PC BSODs on boot up with a 0x000000C9 error code, but no associated text description. I cannot boot the PC into safe mode to access the dump files either. I will attach a screenshot of the BSOD. Just to check, I ran a full system virus scan using TrendMicro House Call from a USB drive. It detected no threats.

I searched the code on Google and got no useful information, and searched the .sys file that the BSOD mentions (dtsoftbus01.sys), but all fixes seem to require getting into the file browser, which is impossible in the computers current state.

I'm posting this from my phone, and will not have access to a full USB port 100% of the time, as I don't have a laptop. I appreciate any responses, and would like to thank you for your time.

This is caused by Driver Verifier. Your BSOD you are having are non-fatal. Your lucky you didnt have a fatal paramenter. Backup your data and re-install windows. That should fix the problem.

0x23E
Non-fatal error
A driver has marked an IRP pending but didn't return STATUS_PENDING. (IRP specified.)

Before the BSOD on boot up, I had occasional random BSODs with different codes. One was a 0x1a memory management code, and the other was a 0x3b system service exception. Would a reinstall of windows solve those too, or would that be carried with my backed up personal data?

No, as long as the windows files don't get involved in this backup your good to go.

Thank you. I'll try that, and if it works, mark as solved then. Thanks again!
