BSOD 0x1a memory_management.

Ok so I learned to debug dumps myself. I waited for this to finally happen, a memory management bsod. I had tested my ram several times prior to learning properly, and it was always fine.

Its being caused by firefox while running a flash video, or stream. I don't know what to do about it, besides change browser for that. Its been happening on a site called toonamiaftermath which hosts a Justin.tv stream. Now is it flash or firefox causing the crash? I disabled the FF plugin-container to try to solve the issue because a previous bsod said it was that. I'm going to attempt to use chrome for streaming instead, but I wanted some opinions on what I should do to test which causes it.

Not going to upload the BSOD thing even though it says to. I don't see a point as I know the cause. All drivers are up to date. USB, CPU, GPU, Ethernet, sound, all of it. Ram has been tested, cpu is on stock. GPU is OC'd but it has happened on both stock and OC.

In spite of all your "cleverness" we need to do the analysis ourselves.


We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

SO you just want my dump file? Would you rather I use that program that is in the sticky? Also is it just some copy/paste you do to tell me to ensure its enabled? Because if I posted info from the dump, I'm pretty sure it is.

Yes and I take offense to your response. A lot of offense. I basically take it you're calling me stupid. Regardless I do want help, but your post goes against the forum posting rule for posting the dump info. But as you like.

I included 2. 1 is the bsod caused by firefox, and one is unexplained for me as I have never heard of such a thing.

All drivers are up to date. USB, CPU, GPU, Ethernet, sound, all of it.

Sorry I just took a look at the BSOD dumps. Well >.> if your drivers are up to date then it can be a Hardware problem

Really? Want to tell me which drivers are not up to date? If you say GPU, thats because 11.11a has texture fixes for BF3 that 11.12 do not include.

You just changed your post. Saying you looked at my dumps doesn't really help me. My ram has passed 5+ hour tests on memtest86+ already.

I've done that too. Earlier I uninstalled it using adobe flash uninstaller and reinstalled it. Its on 11.xx, what ever the newest is, as the site says im up to date when I run the check from the control panel icon (flash player x32). Which also strikes me because I installed the 64bit, because I have 64bit, but it shows x32 in my control panel.

Regarding going against "forums posting guidelines" we often suggest alternative methods to expedite repairs.

I will try it! But it could be month or so before I'd get the problem. I will try, and hope for the best. Its going to be one extended test though.

To think of it, this problem has happened since 10.1 release if I remember right. Might have been later, closer to flash 11.
