BSOD 0xc000000f status, software or hardware issue?

Hi, i'm in a dire situation here. My PC crashed with error 0xc000000f and it won't boot, this after BSOD saying "irql not less or equal". This past week i've been getting like 10 BSOD all saying "page fault in nonpaged area", and one "bad pool header", during which I've tried all kind off suggestions like disable automatically manage paging file size, i've run chkdsk for C partition (where my OS is installed) and it said no bad processes, done memory diagnosis thinking it might be a RAM issue, but it found no errors.
I haven't installed anything new on my PC, no software, no hardware, no updates, only Sopcast, but this after already getting two BSOD, so i don't think it's related. Everything worked fine before these sudden crashes, haven't had any problems for the past 3 years.
I can't upload any crash data or files it says in the instructions because my PC is practically dead, giving me that 0xc000000f error upon opening.
My main question is if, giving all those BSOD errors, is a software or hardware issue? And if it's a hardware problem, could it be fixed by a clean install of Windows 7?
If you have any ideas, please help! Thank you!

Hi Lily,

0xC000000F means a file that was requested doesn't exist, most likely some corruption in Windows but I don't think this is a hardware issue.
Is there any specific file mentioned?

I've ran chkdsk just once, a couple of days ago, after the first bsod and memory diagnosis too, no errors found. No SFC scan, i didn't know about that (i'm not a computer savy)... (it's not a very heavly used pc, it ran smoothly all this time and i tried to keep it clean from viruses, so as long as everything was ok, i didn't bother with it).

Hi kma1717,
It seams an useful tool, but unfortunately my pc doesn't boot so right now it's impossible for me to download it and use it. But i'll keep it in mind, maybe it would have helped me after the first bsod, before crashing completly. Thanks.
