BSOD 124 right after login even on safe mode

Hello ppl.
I tried everything I could to make sure.
I used a PSU that is working on another pc just fine. No use.
I took the RAM from that machine (only 1 stick) and used that one instead of mine and still the same, no use.
I even took that pc's HDD (which ofc is working fine) and set that one to my pc as the only drive and still it gave me a BSOD with 0x0124 error.
It seems that the only things remaining is CPU and MB.
How do we check for any of those 2 if we don't have any spare to check?
Any ideas?

If you know someone with a mobo with the same socket, you could swap the CPU, else you either have to go to a computershop or RMA. For the CPU there are stress tests, but they are mainly meant for cooling issues since faulty CPUs don't occur much.

I have taken the MB out already and will take it to the vendor I bought it from. If it comes back with a cleasheet I will have to send the CPU to the other vendor and let's hope one of the 2 vendors comes back with a fault and substitute the faulty one.

Hello again.

It took a lot of time but I finally managed to find out what the problem was.
It was the CPU. It was tested on 2 different MB and was giving BSOD on both, either on a new installation of windows or an existing one.

Thanks for getting back to us.
Seldom does a CPU give such a problem but it can happen.
Monitor your temps on a new CPU to make sure their is not a temp problem causing the death of a CPU.
To high of temps can destroy a CPU in a matter of seconds.

I will have to buy a new CPU cooler instead of using the default one as soon as the new cpu comes back.

I have two self built water cooling computer systems, so I really don't know which aftermarket cooler is the best. Other member will be able to give suggestions.
