Solved BSOD after Asrock Bios update Fvevol

hi guys,

I was having latency problems with my new RME HDSPe AIO and Asrock told me to update the bios. Just had a blue screen here is the BSOD info,any help would be greatly appreciated. I said the fvevol.sys driver is to blame,at a loss,things just went from bad to really bad!

gstew, apparently there is not any finite cause of the BSODs, but there are lots of Ntfs.sys, fltmgr.sys and fileinfo.sys failures. Assuming those are causing the BSODs, I started to find the best fit probable cause, and found that your SATA drivers are old, as the other Asmedia drivers. (this current result is on the USB driver, but the timestrap is applicable to the SATA driver too).

Try to update these:

Start Menu\Programs\Asmedia Technology\ASM104x USB 3.0 Driver
Start Menu\Programs\Asmedia Technology\ASM106x SATA Driver

Find the updates in ASMedia Technology Inc. ????.

Also, update the firmware of your SSDs.

• Corsair Force 3
• OCZ-VERTEX3

After BIOS update, this update is a must, if any update is available.

Do you use any other driver driver than Asmedia for eSATA-2 Tch Voyager?
And which antivirus do you use?

hi,

thanks so much for your help. It's pretty late now so I'm going to update the asmedia sata and usb drivers tomorrow as well as the ssd firmware. I wonder if the sad might be responsible for the asio spikes I'm getting in my DAW(I use this machine for midi samples recording etc..)? It's offline and I have uninstalled all the antivirus and firewall.

after updating the drivers and firmware it hasn;t bsod again,not sure what it was that caused it but touch wood all is well for now. Thanks a lot for your help,I really appreciate it!
