Hello there
I buuilt in new Ram a week ago , and hadnt had problems so far. Today
my pc randomly starts crashing, and bluescreen gives me a memory_managemnt error , so i guessed on the new Ram
Here are my specs
CPU : Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650
Mainboard : EVGA nForce 780i SLI
Memory: 8GB DDR2 - 4 times 2 GB OCZP10662G
Graphics : 2 times Nvidia GForce 8800 GTX with SlI
OS : Windows 7 64 Bit

I dont know what causes the error and i dont know how to fix it... tried to set the timings to 6-6-6-18 but didnt help , i didnt touch the voltage tough , its set at 1.85 at bios

here is my crashdump

Try using only 2 modules of ram and see what happens.

Also, what power supply you have?

Depending on the case the power supply is in the back, at the top/bottom of the case.

Judging by your sli video cards you should have something above 450-500 W.

You can try to test your memory with memtest86 too.

It's ok. Pretty good power supply.

You tried to OC the memory? Can you post a screen for the memory in cpu-z? At 800 Mhz they should run ok but at 1066 sometimes they have problems.

Well, if you only changed your ram and you have problems then you should test them.

Run Memtest86+ for at least 8-10 passes. It may take up to 20 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold. How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+

I had few years ago 2 modules of faulty ram and I had errors and bsods out of nowhere. Tested them with memtest and red sectors everywhere :)

It's voltage and timings for every frequency.

They run now at 400 mhz ( x 2 ) as you said.

You should be ok testing the ram because you need to do it from a bootable device( cd/usb stick).

It's best you leave it for at least 7 passes but if the ram is faulty you should see results fasts. I saw my errors after like 30 mins. I had 2 gb Kingston DDR2 running at 667 Mhz.

Voltages are different for almost every ram and motherboard. It depends on the quality too. High quality ram doesn't need that much voltage at 1066 Mhz ( 2.1 V) for example.

Test the ram and post the results.

No need for now. The voltage is good if it's stable for you.

Last time I checked my voltage was ~1.5 V. And I have 8 gb ddr 3 at 1333 Mhz ( Corsair).

I checked now and I see your MB supports max 8 gb ram ddr2. You should try to remove two modules of ram to see if the problem persists.

yes my mb supports max 8gigs thats why i bought 8 gigs :P also , many many users of the same MB recommand the ram i use , so it should be compatible.
after 2 and a half runs, i found 1 red sector ( twice ) , uhm i dont know what it tells me , what info you need from the memtest ?
