BSOD after changing Spotify settings - ATK Hotkey ElanTPCfg64.exe

Hello,

This morning at around 10:06 AM I got the joy of a BSOD. I believe it happened right after I changed Spotify's settings to not start up automatically when logging in. I don't know if the BSOD had anything to do with it. When I rebooted my pc, it would freeze shortly after rebooting (just being able to see my desktop). A few weeks ago I also had a BSOD but I didn't really experience problems with my pc afterwards. Now, event viewer shows an error concerning the following:

fault offset: 0x0000000000008f72
ID of process with fault: 0x1188
Path to application with fault: C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ATK Package\ATK Hotkey\ElanTPCfg64.exe
Path to module with fault: C:\Program Files\Elantech\ETDApi.dll
error ID: 1000

I uploaded a screenshot of the application error described above (in Dutch, but it might still be useful) and uploaded the zip file from the DM Log Collector.

If anyone knows how to fix this situation, I'd love to hear!

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

   Warning

Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Booster 3, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

You are required to remove every bypass on your system before anyone can be of assistant.

Thank you for your reply axe0! I uninstalled Daemon Tools and Driver Booster 3. Also, I made sure there was no SCSI Pass Through Direct.

Driver Booster 3 didn't provide an overview of the drivers that were installed via this program. Therefore, I don't know which drivers were installed with Driver Booster.

I hope uninstalling Daemon Tools will help prevent future BSODs.
