Hello all. I have just replaced my motherboard. The old mobo was Asus p6x58d-e and the new one is a Asus Sabertooth X58.
Both are a very similare spec with all the same components, network/sound etc.

The problem I am having is when i put my HDD back in the machine it blue screens when booting into windows 7(32 bit).
The error is:
"a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time"
I can boot into safe mode only. Can anyone advise if there is something i should be doing to get this to work?:sarc:

Thanks in advance

Boot into safemode with networking... Run windows updates... Motherboard changes are deadly to a pc unless it is the EXACT MoBo. When you change it s best to perform a clean install.

Hi, thanks for the reply.:D

I Booted into safemode with networking, but could not Run windows updates as the service would not start. A also tried to go to go to the updates website but that didnt work either, I then tried to do a "hardware scan" in device manager to see if that would pick up anything but it didnt.

How can i get the updates to work?

I really dont want to have to be a fresh install if i can help it, it takes ages to re-install all the applications!!

Hi, I have attached windows_nt6_bsod_jcgriff2, but could not see how to save the perfmon log.

I have also run the batch file to reset windown update, but am still unable to run updates. I think it is because I am in safe mode.:sarc:

THANKS :D
