Hey Guys,

Getting a consistent bluescreen each time I leave the laptop running, close the lid, and reopen it.

Been happening since I swapped out my SSD in the laptop. The old one was reporting backs sectors so I pulled it out, and tossed in a new Intel one. Checked firmware, everything is up to date. Not sure where to go from here, can someone check out the dump file I've posted?

Thanks guys!

Hello :) .

All your bugchecks are 0xF4 which are storage related.
since you already updated your SSD's firmware let's explore other
possibilities.

Right couple of other things I need to know, if I may.

What is the sub-model of your Aspire S3?

Stress the CPU for 45 minutes using Prime95 but making sure that the temperatures don't exceed 82°C! Use Speccy to monitor temps then upload a screenshot right before you stop the test.

What intel software do you have installed on the laptop?
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Intel

Okay!

Sub Model is the Aspire S3 951.

Starting stress test now, will report with results.

Intel software installed is the Intel SSD Toolbox.

Edit: Just got the results. Attached the screenshot

That is really hot, but considering it is while under an artificial work load I can assume
that under normal conditions the CPU temperature won't get as high.

I will consult others about this issue, more help should come sooner rather than later.

Edit:

In the mean time update your Intel drivers by using this online utility.

I'll run that update utility and see if it finds anything. Thanks for your help Yoyo.

Just to reiterate, this happened AFTER an SSD swap and new image of Win 7 was loaded onto the PC. Manually ran updates on the machine, and so far it ONLY blue screens when I leave the laptop running, close it, and open it again. Without fail, as it loads back up it'll BSOD.

Thanks guys

Yes. I replaced an SSD with another SSD.

Takes between 5-30 seconds. And I just tested it out, looks like it happens each time the PC goes into Sleep mode. After it exits sleep mode and goes to the select users page, I select the user and it attempts to 'load' the user, after trying this for several seconds, the PC goes into bluescreen.

No bluescreen in safemode, but also couldn't find an option to put it asleep.

Edit: Also doesn't do it if I put it in hibernate mode.

Right, running Driver Verifier will our next step.
While running Driver Verifier trigger the BSOD in the same manner as before.

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

The dump is the same as other ones.

  1. Enable the Guest Account and see if the problem persist.
  2. If it does upload the new dump.

   Note
If the above steps do not help in mitigating the the problem update your BIOS

   Tip
Connect the laptop to the AC-adapter and do not disconnect it until the procedure is done.

   Warning
Flashing the BIOS is a risky procedure, any interruption will render the PC useless!
Continue at your own risk.

Download the latest BIOS version 1.18.

Hey guys,

sorry I was away yesterday afternoon with a client.

I just got bluescreened again in guest mode. I've attached the dump file to this post.

@Pauly - I installed a new SSD and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7, sorry for not being clear.

@centaur78 - Uploading the .arn autoruns file in this post as well. Will follow the instructions in the kb afterwards. EDIT: Misread your post! This autorun is from before playing with any of those settings. I'll get right on it, woops.

Hey guys, posting with an updated dump file as well as autoruns file. I updated the BIOS to 1.18 and followed the instructions in the KB listed by centaur to fix the cd issue that was there. Still getting BSOD. Anyhow, autoruns and dump after the fact.
