BSOD after playing Verdun for 5 minutes

Hi there.
I recently picked up Verdun because I've heard many good things about it.

After about 5 minutes of play, however, the game just blue screens, and I have no idea why.

My CPU isn't running hot, neither is my GPU, and it's not using much RAM.

It's really weird. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Please fill in your system specs

Please follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely.
How to fill in your system specs:

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window


It seems you have uncorrectable hardware errors for quite some time which results in the 0x124 crashes.
Looking at the frequency of the crashes, I don't think it is a hardware problem, but more a software/driver/BIOS problem. The only software that is known for letting the system think there is a hardware problem is software provided by the mainboard manufacturer, I would suggest that you remove any software that is provided by the mainboard manufacturer. It is also recommended that you check the mainboard manufacturer for BIOS updates.

Hello there, I could not resolve my problem with Verdun. But the blue screen problem has begun to manifest in other activities too, Subnautica crashes my PC after 5 or 10 minutes, and watching anything on twitch.tv also crashes my PC.

After performing all the actions outlined in your last post, I encountered less problems in other games such as ARMA 3. And recently I removed and reapplied thermal paste to my CPU thinking that would also improve the problem, but it did not.

I really am not sure what to do, I will post a new set of files and hopefully we can solve this once and for all, I'm pretty sure my CPU might just be dying but there's always hope.

3/4 crashes of this month show the Nvidia drivers, given that the crashes are known as a hardware crash there is a strong possibility that the GPU is faulty (or the drivers are triggering a hardware error).

I suggest to first try some drivers, at least 3 different onces.
If no driver improves system stability, try to reseat the GPU or try to use a different slot if possible and see if there is a change.

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Geforce. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.
