That's pretty much it. I've started having BSOD after standby, probably 3 times now. My system specs are in my profile and the BSOD dump file zip is attached. The only change that I can find the day before the issue started is a Windows Update that was a definition update for Microsoft Security Essentials. Your helps is appreciated.

Cheers!

Possibly unrelated, long before this I had started having an issue with my usb keyboard and mouse crashing at the same time. Other USB (webcam and wireless ethernet) continue to work. It happened most frequently during game play or on video chat. Using different ports is of no use. Powering down the computer, unplugging the power source, holding the power button, and then plugging everything in and booting it up temporarily fixes the issue. (Currently trying to solve BSOD, so if this is not pertinent, please ignore and I will try to resolve it separately, thanks.)

The MGADiag looks good to me - an Upgrade of Win 7 on Vista/XP, probably? :)

Yep. Not sure what that has to do with the BSOD, but I held on to XP for a long time. Eventually the 64 bit was no longer supported and it was time to migrate over.

All right so took a look at your dump files and what your experiencing is a video tdr error now there are a number of possible causes for this. firstly lets rule out hard ware problems please download and install Furmark:
FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature" (BurnIn test in newer versions).
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit

please report your temperatures and if it throws any errors or causes a crash

Thanks Dsprague. I ran FurMark and the temperature basically maxed out at 75C. The attached screen shot shows it hit 77 at some point over the 18 minute run. No problems, errors, or crashes. Hopefully this means the graphics card hardware itself is not the likely culprit.

Thanks, I've looked through this thread and tried a few of the actionable items. Overheating might have been an issue initially as I did find a lot of dust build up that I cleaned out. Still since running it with the side panel off, it stays quite cool and I continue to have this problem. I made sure DirectX was up to date. I've reinstalled the chipset drivers. I don't have anything overclocked.

There's a lot in the linked thread. I have a hard time digesting it, and knowing what to try next. Any other thoughts? I appreciate the help!

well off the top of my head you could reset your page file by doing the following:

a ) Go to Start...Run...and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
-Then click on the Advanced tab,
-then on the Performance Settings Button,
-then on the next Advanced tab,
-then on the Virtual Memory Change button.
b ) In this window, note down the current settings for your pagefile (so you can restore them later on).
-Then click on the "No paging file" radio button, and
- then on the "Set" button. Be sure, if you have multiple hard drives, that you ensure that the paging file is set to 0 on all of them.
-Click OK to exit the dialogs.
c ) Reboot (this will remove the pagefile from your system)
d ) Then go back in following the directions in step a ) and re-enter the settings that you wrote down in step b ). Follow the steps all the way through (and including) the reboot.
e ) Once you've rebooted this second time, go back in and check to make sure that the settings are as they're supposed to be.

then run the system file checker:

SFC.EXE /SCANNOW
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the search box, right click on the cmd.exe and select "Run as adminstrator"
In the black window that opens, type "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
Let the program run and post back what it says when it's done.

and run hard drive diagnostices from the tutorial link provided here:

HD Diagnostic
