Hey everyone my roommates laptop exploded with BSOD this past week and i cant pin point what it could be, he did have 2 antivirus programs at one point installed but i removed one of them but then the BSOD still kept happening. I included the zip files for you guys to look at and thanks for any input that could help solve this problem. lazertag7

Avast! can be a reason for bsods. Please remove it and use Microsoft Security Essentials & the Free version of Malwarebytes, update and make full scans separately:

  • :info: Pay close attention to Part 3 of the tutorial "If you have errors"
  • :tip: Test the RAM with Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.
