BSOD almost every hour constantly

The BSOD fluctuate between System service exception & IRQL. I tried doing a sfc scan because I'm pretty sure it's a driver problem as I had the same problem in the past, and the sfc came up with so many files that need repairing. Could someone check my mini dump files and let me know what files may be causing this problem? I used the SF diagnostic tool to collect everything that may be useful but I think it stopped working half way through for some reason, I will try it again after rebooting to see if that changes anything.

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Avast is failing here. Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

• Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
• Windows Defender Offline

Update your ATI/AMD display driver to the latest WHQL.
You can get it from the link in our forum, http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-...alyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html#post17671, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

The network driver is outdated. Download and install Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program from (fourth one in the list) : Realtek

Let us know the results. Also upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

1. Click on the start button
2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Okay my first problem here is that windows update has never worked for me. I tried starting the Background Intelligence tool but that won't work because my COM+ doesn't start either :banghead:

I also tried updating manually and halfway through got an error and have been told to download a "system update readiness tool".

I'm going to try the memtest later on but I'm sure that will come up with a problem

I'm running the MBAM scan now and so far it's found one virus

& finally I've updated both of those drivers without any problems (finally)


Erm I need a bit of help getting the memtest to boot and theres' a bit in the guide I can't understand how to do (I've checked the posts but no ones asked) But this bit: "If Memtest does not automatically boot, go into the BIOS and change the CD drive or USB drive to be the first to boot."

How do I do this?
