You have \ counterfeit install of Windows - and you're asking what may be wrong?
Code:
Product ID: 00371-OEM-8992671-00004
Original Install Date: 1/21/2011, 6:46:49 PM
System Boot Time: 5/23/2015, 1:07:26 AM
System Manufacturer: System manufacturer
System Model: System Product Name
System Type: x64-based PC

An ACER OEM_SLP Key on a retail motherboard.

You need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media and Key, rather tham messing up the system at the start with a hacker's Activation Exploit (AKA rootkit)

Post an MGADiag report, and I'll give you detailed breakdown...

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.x
- in your own thread, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

This appears to be a 5-year-old machine? there's probably not much chance of recouping your money unless you only acquired it recently :(

Analysis confirmed :(

ACER OEM_SLP Key (Windows Product Key: *****-*****-GK4PY-FDWYH-7TP9F)
ACER SLIC Table in the BIOS (SLIC ACRSYS ACRPRDCT)

Sorry to be the bearer of what is obviously unexpected bad news!

This is a NoelDP wallet warning! Building your own computer is dangerous to your wallet, and addictive! ;) It's also great fun!

The problem comes because it's no longer cheaper to build your own high-spec machine that to buy one. Once you factor in the price of the Windows license, it can cost a lot more than buying off the shelf.

The advantage is that you know the quality of every component in the system (assuming you research stuff) and can replace stuf a piece at a time if you need to (to a point - I'd tend to replace motherboard/RAM/CPU together) - and you can get some gorgeous-looking pieces of furniture to put them all into (or simply put them in a cage - if you get the cooling right!)

If the budget is tight (like mine), then I'd buy off the shelf.
Laptops pretty much have to come from manufacturers - but many will customise for a price.
