Solved BSOD and multiple system shutdown and restarts

Thanks for the reply Vir,I understand where you are coming from. I suspected a possible componant fault but wanted to eliminate the programing or settings as a possibility before replacing componants. I will get back to you about the PSU when I get home from work.
Again thank you for your time.

Agree with Vir, sounds like a motherboard grounding issue or bad PSU. The two most common hardware failures are RAM and PSU.

Your PSU is not listed on the data base I use, not a good sign.
A quick search, newegg, shows a lot of failures and power declines.

A bad PSU can damage some or all components in your system, be careful with this issue.
Do you have another PSU that you can test with?
Maybe borrow one or find a store with a good return policy.
An investment in a good PSU is worth every penny.

I've been quite comfortable with using the PSU recommendations here. Anything Dave will provide I'd also like to know. Doesn't hurt to increase my references!

I use this data base, it's just information but at least you know who actually makes them for the re-sellers.
PSU REVIEW DATABASE

It's a quite extensive list, if it's not listed there I don't recommend it.
Personally I trust any PSU made by Seasonic, many of the re-sellers use Seasonic as you can see. Just about all of their PSUs are good quality, other manufactures make some quality units and cheaper/low quality units.
A few others are good:
PC Power & Cooling
CWT - be careful of the low price lines of products.
Antec - be careful of the low price lines of products.

Basic rule, if they're cheap, they had to cut corners and therefore the quality is not there.
Any PSU that comes with a case is a cheap quality unit, and a risk not worth taking.
Most review sites get paid for good reviews so most of them aren't worth the time it takes to read.

Vir, your link is a very good article.
There is a recommended brand listed that is a good example of my comment of some re-sellers make some good units and others are very bad, Thermaltake, their top end are reported to be good but, the lower and middle units are horrible. They take advantage of the good reviews on the top line to get sales for their middle and lower lines. This type of business practice tends to make me avoid these companies.
Corsair uses Seasonic, CWT, and a couple others, these are all good quality, to varying degrees.
XFX uses only Seasonic and are all good.

Exceptional resource, Dave. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! I'll also take note on Thermaltake. Honestly in my previous experience I also feel Thermaltake is a lil iffy especially on its budget lines. It seems the Toughpower series is the only thing they got going for em ATM. That's kinda why I mentioned that make and model is important, since it's not enough just getting it from a reputable brand, as their economy options are often very poor in reliability.

Your welcome.
It's a misconception that everything from a recognized brand is good, even 'good' brands sell poor quality components in their 'value/economy' lines, PSU and RAM.
