I have been dealing with BSOD for probably 6+ month now, but it seems to be occurring more frequent (once a week). I mainly use my computer for work (AutoCAD), however, there is no consistency of when the issue occurs. There are a few things that might be causing it, but I am not sure which direction go or if they are even to attribute to the issue. First thing is I first built the system with G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory and about a year ago added other 8 GB. Second is my graphics card is an old one and not sure if maybe it is just starting to go or the updates are messing with it. Third is that about a month ago I started to get a buzz/hum from my cpu, which I believe to be my ps (XFX PRO Black Edition 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply). I built my system 2 years ago and have not had any issues but this....Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have also attached the DM Log....Thanks!

Hi troth86,

Welcome to the 7forums :)

First thing is I first built the system with G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory and about a year ago added other 8 GB
If the added stick is still seated, please remove it. Mixed memory may cause problems.

It seems you are only getting the 0x124 meaning a hardware error occured, however the crashes are way to inconsistent for a real hardware error to be present, unless you had a peripheral connected everytime.

I would like to start with a few basic things for this type of crash.
  1. If you're overclocking your RAM, GPU or CPU, revert back to stock clocks now, overclocking is a thing that may cause various of problems in a matter of time if not immediately.
  2. Monitor the temperatures with Speccy or HWMonitor, let me know what the minimum temperature is while idle and the maximum under load.
  3. Update the BIOS to the most recent version

Another thing I would want you to do is a memory diagnostic test, although some reports are from some time ago they may give an indication towards the memory

Diagnostic Test

 RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 7 Forums

   Note
picture.php

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Make a photo of the result and post it.

Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.
