Hi all,

I'm having this trouble to boot up my laptop, ACER Aspire.

Background Information:

My laptop has been shutting down automatically before this problem occurs and I brought it to an IT technician to have it checked because I thought it was just my heatsink clogged up causing my laptop to overheat easily. After the technician have a look at it, he told me that my motherboard's screw were loose and are unable to screw it back to the usual form. (Something along this line) He did clean up my heatsink and re-apply thermal paste for me.

After a few use of my 'newly' repaired laptop, my laptop auto shuts down again. And this time round it failed to boot up normally. I was stuck at the black screen before the windows appear to choose safe mode, safe mode with networking or normal mode.
I choose to run the laptop in normal mode and this is when I saw the blue screen. It only appeared for around 4-5 seconds before it auto restarts again. I looked through the Internet and managed to keep the blue screen from disappearing and noted down the error code.

I hope the community here can shed some light on this.

Problem:

Blue Screen:

Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows update you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software, disable BIOS memory option such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your laptop and press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

P.S: I am no computer wizard or genius so please try and explain to me on how can I solve this in the simplest form as possible! Thank you in advance. Tried to post on social technet but no one seems to know the solution to this.
