Solved BSOD Bad Pool Header / possible conflict with uTorrent 2.2.1 ?

Last week I had some BSOD. I'm not sure but I think it is linked with uTorrent. I use uTorrent 2.2.1 (most stable version). I have a 100/100 glasfibre but capped it to 8MB up and down. I have the feeling that when uTorrent is downloading and uploading at high speed the errors (BSOD) come up. Till now I was unable to make a photo of the BSOD, but I saw something mentioned about a Bad Pool Header.

I have uploaded the required DM log collector ZIP file for all the info.
Unfortunately I am not able to find any dump file. See the discussion yesterday I had on this forum.

I really hope someone can help me with the BSOD :o

Greetz,
Marco

There are no dump files in the .zip folder.
Check in
C:/Windows/minidump
and
C:/Windows/memory.dmp

For any .dmp files.

If it is a Small Memory Dump (minidump) then you'll need to copy the dump files to the desktop, zip them up and upload them directly.

If you have a Kernel Memory Dump then upload the dump file to a file sharing website like OneDrive.

Then post the download link.

Your network drivers could do with an update.

Daemon Tools/Alcohol is known cause of BSODs, you will have to find an alternative as there is no way around this.

Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help
How to remove sptd.sys from system

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
3. Double click the executable to open it
4. Click the button shown below

picture.php

If the button it is grayed out, as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can just close the window.

Free your startup, remove all unnecessary programs from launching when you first login.

Thank you for all the information!
I did the following:

1. Updated one of the two Realtek drivers. The RT64win7 is updated to 2014 and the other (RTL8192SU) is not updated because there is no newer version on the realtek site.

2. I removed Daemon completely with Revo-uninstaller and after that the SPTD uninstaller told me the program is not in use anymore.

3. Cleared my startup prograns through MSCONFIG.

4. Sadly I am not able to upload a dump file. Please see the link in my first message to the discussion I had yesterday on this forum.

Greetz,
Marco

Update:
After above changes I did not have a BSOD yet;-)
But I have still the question why I am not able to get a dump file?
See the link in my first message. Can someone help me with my problem or do I have to post this problem in another item/post?

Thank you for the information!

I installed the Realtek driver just last week and it is the same file as mentioned in your link. But I downloaded the driver again and also the install.

If I uninstall Bitdefender, will my PC not be more vulnerable with Microsoft Security Essentials ? I think you meant to replace my complete Bitdefender internet security with the internet suite of Microsoft.

Without BitDefender run MS Security Essentials and MalwareBytes with Windows Firewall activated. That will be plenty.

Make sure you uncheck the 'Enable Free Trial' box when installing.

Thanks!

I have now uninstalled Bitdefender Internet Security completely and have now Microsoft Security Essentials (with windows firewall enabled) as my realtime internet protection. I also have installed Malwarebytes Anti-malware the free version (without the realtime protection). And now just wait if everything goes well without a BSOD?

Do I have to run Malwarebytes Anti-malware every few days or once a week to keep the safety I had with Bitdefender Internet Security?

I run MalwareBytes once a week usually, maybe a one off if I suspect anything but that's rare.

Test the computer and keep us posted on the performance.

I don't use Bitdefender anymore. Ik have now installed Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti-malware Premium (just bought the lifetime license) for realtime protection.
