I have had this problem for a while now but it has recently got significantly worse.

Now when i load up most games they will sometimes get past the logos splashes etc and then reach the menu. This is where most of them crash. Examples of this are the new Arma 3 Alpha, Civilisation V (however that seemed to stop when i ran it in Dx9 Mode), Shogun 2 Total War and occasionally The Witcher 2. The error does not seem limited to one application and sometimes these work flawlessly before randomly deciding the next day to fail. The problem used to be fixed by simply re-installing or verifying the game however now that no longer works and instead will often download a small file and again crash.

I have all up to date drivers, hell i even tried the beta drivers and it still persists. I have updated BIOS. My PC is clean and cool. I have researched this error persistently and all most people seem to get is "Update your drivers" repeatedly. I have also tried editing some registries however i am far from adept at doing so and am apprehensive to do so, the ones i have tried have appeared to do nothing.

I am aware this is due to a timeout detection recovery error, or a majority of other posts would have me belive and subsequently have tried to disable or even delay TDR but it will not work. I pray and hope that someone out there has a resolution to this issue however until then i will wait here by the road and continue to seethe with rage.
(I apologise for any flaws in my post i do not frequent forums)
