BSOD BCC 116 upon changing screens within game or video.

Sounds good. It may be that the 260 is just defective.

Update:

Thinking that maybe this was a memory hole in my GTX 260, I actually ended up overclocking it and got stable results so far @ 626 / 1052 / 1349 (EVGA SSC settings). No BSOD yet. Here's to hoping that it was just a faulty factory overclock setting put on my BFG (who no longer honors their RMA's).

Overclocking video cards is beyond me, I'll be honest. I guess all I can say is I'm glad it seems to be working, and I hope it stays that way.
