Hi guys, hope you can help me with my random yet constant BSOD when playing games. :(

All info attached in the zip as requested and my OS information below.

Original OS installed and is OEM, my system is around 6 months old

OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
CPU Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz Overclocked to 4.00GHz

I just made a thread on this and it happened to be caused by steam. I have no idea how to read the files but thats what I was told. Seeing how you are playing games its a legit tip to reinstall steam.

Hi, MrBee. I looked at your three most recent dumps. All three are bugcheck 1E, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. The usual causes are Device driver, hardware, System service, compatibility, Remote control programs, memory, BIOS. The dumps are virtually identical. They do not give us a specific cause.

I suggest that you uninstall AVG using this removal tool: Tool (64 bit). If you have Identity Protection installed, remove it with this tool: Tool. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. I do know if AVG caused your crashes; but it is a known cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. I suggest you eliminate it as a potential cause. Reboot and see how your system runs. Please post back and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload it and we will go from there.

I can't help but notice you're overclocked to 4gig. Perhaps you want to turn down the overclocks to see if your BSOD's decrease?

Also did you stress test your system for stability at 4gig??? If so, what program did you use?

If this is a pre-built overclocked system still under warranty you best let them know you're getting BSOD's. Unstable overclocked systems will definitely give BSOD's.

Point - If they built you a faulty overclocked system they need to fix it!!!

I'm personally not a fan of "pre" built overclocked systems because things can easily go wrong with them. I personally feel they are a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, especially on with the non-savy computer user.
