Solved bsod cant figure this one out

Based on the other temperatures, I imagine that is just a bad sensor reading and probably nothing to worry about.

Software Concerns:
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Free Registry Cleaner
Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ws-7-a.html?filter[2]=Performance Maintenance.

Analysis:
Crash was still a 0xF4 crash and still indicates that your registry is probably damaged due to the above software.

Hmm, if that's correct I have no way of fixing that without re installing the os which is not on the cards for the music side at the moment.
I've never had a registry problem causing a crash before, is there some way to narrow down a registry corruption?

Thanks
Mike

Unfortunately, no. A repair install and/or clean re-install are really the only methods to resolve such a problem. Depending on the type of registry corruption, a repair install may not work and a clean re-install is necessary. Steps for a repair install:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html Windows 7.

Steps 1-3 and 5-7 of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 will help you get installation media, backup any important files (just in case), and obtain your license keys for software (just in case) and the Windows license key (you will need this key).

Had yet another crash on the non-music side.
Just to remind you, this is a fresh install with no registry optimisation.
Writhziden, this surely points to hardware and not software, correct?
This is the perf mon dump, the crash dump I'll have to get later.
Your thoughts?

were blamed in one of your crashes in the past. Do you have that installed on both sides, or just the music side?

These all point to the SSD as the likely cause. If everything is up to date and you are still having crashes, I would recommend replacing it with a platter hard disk to test.

Hi Mike,

The UAD is installed on both sides and has been installed in the previous box for a couple of years with no problems.
I can put a standard HD in to test but because the blue screens are so far apart in time it make take a while. I'll think about that.
I'm more drawn to the SSD drive as a culprit.
I think I'll contact OCZ about any further tests I can do other than the standard ones and see what they say, or just rma it anyway...

Thanks
Mike

Here is the crash dump from today.
I've also opened a ticket with OCZ to see if they can suggest anything.
If not, I'll rma it back to the shop and replace with an Intel which never caused me problems on the last build.
Cheers,

Mike

Intel Storage Drivers:
You may also want to try seeing if an update is available to your Intel storage drivers.
  1. Go to Intel® Driver Update Utility,
  2. run the utility,
  3. click on the link for Chipset Family,
  4. scroll down and select Standard Version.
  5. There is a page that loads with information on other Intel drivers for your system including Intel storage drivers. You may have to let it load for 10-15 seconds before it displays your particular drivers link.
  6. Go to that link, download the drivers, and install them.

Windows Error Reporting Logs:
I also found this in your Windows Error Reporting logs: Solve a problem with ATI Graphics Driver

Hi mike,
Just to keep you posted.
The last bsod was today, (non-music side) same as the last, dx related.
OCZ have suggested i do a secure wipe and reinstall which i will do after i've gone through the power cycle of the ssd tonight.
Because I've had a couple of different types of bsod's I'm still thinking corrupted driver on the ssd, does this make sense?

BTW, and no big deal, I have an MSI laptop, intel i3, 4gb win7 64 which if unplugged will occasionally freeze (never when plugged in) Any ideas on that?
As I say, it's not that important as it's plugged in most of the time, but if you have a quick fix I'd be grateful.
Cheers,
Mike

After all the faffing about with logs this and crash dumps that, I sent the ssd drive bsck to OCZ, got a replacement and now all works fine for a month with no crashes. Just shows that even a full on disk check doesnt bring up all proplems.
Thanks for the help everyone.
