BSOD caused by nvlddmkm.sys error 0116 when running games/furmark

Hi,

followed the steps and attached as requested.

I got this BSOD recently, not sure why and it only triggers when im running games and furmark stress test. So i think its related to my GPU. So i've tried uninstalling drivers, updating them both in safe mode, doesnt work. Reinstalled previous version before BSOD happened, doesnt work either. Changed TDR values in registry, doesnt seem to work as well. GPU heat issue isnt the main cause because i've monitored the temps and BSOD happens at random temps as long as im running games or anything that stresses the graphic card.

Please advice what is causing this. Thanks

BSOD caused by gpu (nvlddmkm.sys)with complete SF and dmp files attach

Ok here's an update of the situation, i've did a reformat on my C drive now im able to see my Dump files. Hoping the nvlddmkm.sys bsod would go away. But apparently it didnt. It only happens when im gaming. Doesnt BSOD on normal use. It seems i need to get my hardware checked, clean fans, check physical gpu and rams for possible hardware failures.

Anyway here's the Latest SF file with complete Dump file included. Glad reformatting actually fix the dump file location issue. Now its just how do i fix this annoying BSOD.

Proffessionals, here's the stuff that you need.

Also whenever after BSOD, upon booting to windows, the Nvidia gtx 670 could not be found under display adapter in Device Manager after i select scan for hardware. It will only appear after i did another restart.

That situation indicates a failing GPU. You may want to replace the GPU.

I think posting the dump output is not important all the times, specially in a situation like this..... coz it says nothing more than the thread title ..... stop 0x116, probably caused by nvlddmkm.sys.

To debug this BSOD, stress testing the GPU with furmark is an important test; coz if it is a failing GPU, it will not be able to bear the stress. That is what you have said in your original post.

What else?

Things, amalysis, suggestions, all vary depending the situation. A same stopcode may be caused by a different reason. Example of another stop 0x116 BSOD, where the situation demanded something else.
