BSOD Crash. Computer completely freezes.

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble with my PC. Sometimes the monitor doesn't receive a signal. When it does come on it freezes completely or i get the infamous blue screen of death.

Have attached my ZIP folder after the scan, any idea what i need to do to solve this problem?

Your crash dumps are not showing any finite probable cause. In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions. Also upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

1. Click on the start button
2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

The DV enabled crash dump is not there in the zip. Probably it occurred before you get to the desktop?

But, there is an info, that the SCSI is failing.

I would suggest you to do a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html, which will be the easiest way to get rid of it for you.

All that you need to do a clean reinstall is provided there in the link.

No Signal

I went to clean reinstall today, and my monitor keeps on saying 'no signal' even though the fans are running and the computer seems to be booting as normal. Have checked all cables and they're fine.

Any idea where to go from here? It sounds like it's finally had it

Have you done the clean reinstall, and got the no signal after reboot?

Also make it sure that the Display cable is properly connected at both the ends, and the PSU fan is running.

I didn't get the chance to clean reinstall as my PC crashed before I could start, and now I can't access the screen altogether!

I have checked and the display cable is in correctly, and the fan is running perfectly well as it has been before.

Perhaps I need to reseat everything? Although I haven't got a clue how to do this.

Try another monitor.

You're getting nothing on the monitor except No Signal?

Guarding against static discharge, unplug RAM sticks from mobo, then power up making sure speakers are on. Do you get beep codes? This would mean a sign of mobo life.

Then plug back in one RAM stick to reboot, then if necessary power down to try another, then if necessary change slots and try again.

Then try unplugging everything including DVD drive and HD to see what happens. Add DVD drive and try to boot a disk.
