BSOD Driver Power State 0x09f and 0x109f

Hello,

I've been having trouble with a few computers in the office recently. I pulled some minidump files from them and attached the zip folder here. Almost all of them (dumps from my computer and 2 other computers) involve ntoskrnl.exe+xxxxx.

The computer that the attached dump files came from is an HP 8460. Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I'm not sure if this computer was pre-installed with the OS or we used Acronis to install the image on it. Installing the image is our current process but this one was build before I started.

I've updated the video driver today but that might not be reflected in the drivers in the attached file.

I've used BlueScreenView to look at them and tried to google some of the errors but they didn't get me anywhere. I'd be very interesting to figure out what you do to get to a final solution. What tools do you use, what do you look for, etc.

So I just realized that this is going to be bad information. I pulled the dump files from their computers and move them to mine so I could look at them through BlueScreenView. But SF_Diag takes information from the host computer. I'll get updated information and reattach the folder.

The bugchecks seem to revolve around network activity, I found these two very very very old drivers.
As a side-note, if you can, please explain a little bit as to how the PC's connect to the network
and what software is being used?
Sienc we are speaking several PC's I can provide you the information but
I assume it will apply to all three.

0x9F which is DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE that happens in
transitions between power states most commonly S0 (ON state) > S3 (Sleep state)
or vice-verse. You can read more HERE.

The most common cause is a device driver but sometimes it's the hardware itself
that is at fault.

Being an office PC I am reluctant to advise performing the necessary changes as I can't

Also the PC's are still on RTM (7600), is there a reason they are not on Service Pack 1 (7601) already?

To answer your questions:

This computer would be wired or wireless to the network depending on how much he got up and moved around. Unplugging and moving around, as far as I know, has not caused a blue screen to show up. All the computer are on a domain.

This user is very heavy on large Excel spreadsheets. As a company we are heavy on remote desktop. He also have general usage of Outlook, IE, Office, etc.

Through SCCM we don't push out service packs (both bandwidth and functionality considerations). I recently moved into this position so I'm not sure why he never updated to SP1. Most (95%) other users have the upgrade.

We've actually been getting quite a few users who get driver power state (sleep state) BSOD, myself included. I upgraded my Intel HD 3000 driver and it seems to have helped.

Again, thanks for your help. I'll get him updated to SP1 and check his network drivers.

I did see one bugcheck with regards to the intel graphics, probably from a different PC (I can check).

You can attach it here but I would prefer you start a new thread or wait until the currently discussed
issues are resolved, if you do open a new thread link it here and vice versa .

That wasn't what I suggested you do (opening a new thead for the same issue) rather I responded to your
question in post #7 which you asked about the other issues.

For the other BSOD I'm having, should I start a new thread of just attach the zip to a new post?

I meant for you to either wait until the current 0x9F is resolved and then go after the second
issue (a different machine?) so it will be easier to follow which are we talking about.

Either way, any updates?
