So I just got a BSOD with the stated reason being a driver power state failure. Before i got this error though, my windows system was actually acting up a bit. Around two days ago, I wake up to find that my desktop was frozen, it seems like explorer has crashed because I couldn't see my taskbar and my mouse had the loading icon running on it. All of my previous programs were still running though. On the same day, I ended up restarting my computer and the computer boots up straight into chkdsk. It passed the tests successfully so I didn't think much of it, though I did backup my files just in case. Now I get a BSOD with the stated error above. Happened when I was browsing the net and noticed my wifi adapter was down. So I tried to restart my computer which ended up hanging at the Shutting down screen until it got the bsod.

Ok mate did you try a chkdsk with the /f and /r switches if not please do that

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html< if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 > in safe mode if need be
Now the dump is coming up with stuff that is not really conclusive and is suggesting a driver is the issue
Now what I usually like to get out of the way is the status of the PSU because so many issues are caused a problem with this critical component so read this and post back what you find a pic would be good like as in mine

Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info
HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right handwindow select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will seewhat the volts are doing see my pic. Now the section you want will be labeled -for example Asus boards usually have "Nuvoton" and Gigabyte boards"ITE" in any case the section you want will have Vbatt or VBAT in it(dead give away)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for thatbut for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main lefthand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in andthen click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in theright hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds andother essential info that particular device. See pic for example.
