I have a Dell Precision M4800 and experience the following issue:

- After loading Windows, all goes fine, and laptop runs OK for a while
- Randomly, after some use (sometimes after a few hours, sometimes after a few minutes) the WIFI seems to have stopped working (connection is gone)
- A "!" appears on the Wifi icon on the lower right
- After clicking on the icon, all other wifi networks seem to have dissapeared for the list of available networks and i can only see my own connection and it shows "limited connectivity"
- If I disconnect from the network i get a BSOD - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and it claims it comes from the driver Netwsw02.sys
- Wifi Network adapter = Intel dual band Wireless AC 7260
- I downloaded the latest drivers 18.33.5.1 (9/10/2016)

I have uploaded my pc's info and dump files in attach.

Any help would be GREALY appreciated,

Thanks,

Hello and welcome xiv now yes the dump is showing an issue with the Intel wifi driver and you say you updated the driver for that but not what was the outcome?

Now I see you are running the AVG free version and I would personally uninstall it because I consider it to be rubbish. If you want a free AV then take a look at the real time free ones from this
Free Windows Desktop Software Security List - Realtime Protection | Gizmo's Freeware of course it goes before saying leave the AVG out and as well the McAfee again a piece of rubbish the Comodo is ok buy can be an awful nagger so I would be picking Avast, Avira MSE, Bitdefender, and possibly the Sophos and Panda. Now on no account use the Baidu it is in my mind a possible system wrecker and to be honest I do not know why it is on this listing.

I am saying this because often the AV on a system can interfere with the system running correctly.

Hi ICIT2LOL,

Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to make sure that AVG is the issue here? I understand that people have preferences on their AV but i've been working with AVG for years and it never really caused issues. Is there a way (in the logs) to see that it is AVG that is interfering with the system?

Thanks,

Hmm that I cannot say xiv for absolute surety and for the record there other AV's that do cause issues in any system.

If you happy with it mate then it is your choice to have whatever you want on your machine. But having said that it would do no harm to either disable it for a while or uninstall it and try another free one from this listing

Free Windows Desktop Software Security List - Realtime Protection | Gizmo's Freeware

the ones I would pick myself from that listing for real time protection would be Avast, Avira , Bitdefender, Sophos, MSE, or Panda. The ones I would not use would be as you know AVG, McAfee, Baidu (ever) or Comodo - only because the latter can be a terrible nagger.
So the first choice for me would be Bitdefender, and Avast then the others. I have tested all of them I have mentioned on my desktop test ,machine for what it is worth. There are some I do not know about and so have not tried them preferring to stay with those I know about.
Just so you know if you do want to try something else then you will need the dedicated removal tool to uninstall any of them and for an example this would be the tool for removing AVG. Access Denied
Plus as a general rule I always check the registry for left over stuff as some do leave remnants behind.

Hi ICIT2LOL,

I have removed AVG using the removal tool and unfortunately this hasn't solved the issue. Anything else i can try?

THanks,
