Hey all. I recently have been experiencing bsod when gaming. Its worse for some games and other games I get none at all. I've tried lots of different driver solutions to no avail. I've tried disabling onboard sound through bios, running windows sound drivers instead of realtek, ect. A friend has an identical rig and has had no problems with these specific game. The errors seems to be constant with battlefield bad company 2. Overheating also doesn't appear to be an issue. Temps don't really go too high and I ran furmark for few minutes(just a few, it scared me) and I didn't see any artifacts. I'm at a total loss and am tired of having to do hard reboots, any help would be a appreciated.

Have a good holiday and thanks!

Also, running windows 7 premium home edition 64 bit, it came installed on my system. I know I have 2 network devices disabled. I used a different usb wireless adapter instead of the one that game installed on my computer.

Two things

1-sptd.sys used by alcohol and daemon tools

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads

You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

2- Your video driver is in literally all of these crashes

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

Thanks for the reply ken! I uninstalled daemon tools and ran the uninstaller like you said. I also have used driver sweeper, several times with the most recent drivers and also archived drivers. A few times I don't think I removed the chipset drivers(just display and psychics x) with it because I wasn't sure what that meant.

Well like I said I uninstalled daemon tools and used the uninstaller you linked. Then I once again uninstalled my video drivers, rebooted in safe mode and used driver cleaner to remove all traces of nvidia drivers including the chipset drivers. Rebooted in safe mode again, checked to see if there were any nvidia files left and installed the latest driver package.

To test if these things worked I went into a multiplayer battlefield 2 game and instantly got the same bsod. =( I feel so defeated. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
