So I get a BSOD when I'm playing games so I figured it was just the system overheating. Seems vented well enough but still I wasn't sure what was tripping things up. I've updated every driver ...ran all windows updates...still happens.

I've attached the dump files for the BSOD forum but I'm not skilled enough to dive deeper into them and find out whats causing the crash.

Updated system info...

I also narrowed it a bit further down and believe it to be the XBOX USB Controller system driver. xusb21.sys seems to show up in the BSOD dump files often as well.

http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/89777-blue-screen-windows-7-64bit.html advised to uninstall all traces (Which I did...using Treexy's Driver Fusion Premium).

After plugging the USB controller back in and letting windows update find the drivers everything worked OK for a bit then it BSOD'd again. My son told me at the time the controller was flaking out (the cord has a short I think) so maybe the rapid connecting and disconnecting of the controller is causing this driver to freak out and cause the crash?

Agree, its the Xbox driver - however all known drivers from 2009 cause BSOD's. You will need to locate an earlier or later driver to test.

I would consider installing a genuine version of Windows 7 too. Counterfeit installations such as yours contains heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analysing BSOD's and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable.
