BSOD error by NVLDDMKM.SYS

Hi, I have a PackardBell I7-860 computer and the last weeks it suddenly goes black (BSOD) and sometimes restart. Or I have to do a hard restart. NO warnings, no special programs used at that moment. After recovering I get a message about the problem with a .dmp file in the minidump directory.
My system is:
Windows 7 64x Ultimate
Packard Bell ixtreme I7584 SP
Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80 GHz
6 GB DDR3 memory
NVidia Geforce GT 220 video card
WD Sata Harddisk 1 TB
Computer is about 8 months old

Your video card is possibly defective

The cause is you nvlddmkm.sys driver used by your Nvidia video card
Uninstall the driver
Use Driver Sweeper to remove leftover Nvidia display driver files
Reinstall the current version NVIDIA DRIVERS 280.26 WHQL

It is rather unlikely the video card is "defective." Far too many people have this issue with what seems like a variety of nVidia cards.

In my case, it is 2 x GS8400 PCI cards, with a 210 PCI-E x16 and a PCI-E x1 ATI 2250. Works perfectly and BSOD-less in Windows XPx64, and has worked fine in that install for months. Moving to a brand new Win 7 x64 SSD install, and BSODs in a number of ways. Flip back to WinXP x64, and all is perfectly well.

Should I find any substantial fix, I will come back and update, but it doesn't look good so far.
