Thanks for all the help everyone.
So basically I went onto HPs website and got as many of the latest drivers I could (network adaptors, BIOS, bluetooth etc etc.) and installed them all.
I've also been running MS Security Essentials instead of McAfee.
The good news it that I had no BSOD yesterday which is the first day in around a week
So at the moment I'm cautiously optimistic. Hopefully all the updates excreta did the trick. Thanks again for everyone's comments and feedback.
(Although I might be back if I'm still having problems!)
